When you make pancakes, you first have to whip up some batter. Follow a good recipe that is easy to understand, and this step shouldn’t be too difficult. Mix the batter gently and you’re ready for the next step.

Now you can cook your pancakes and form them into what you know as pancakes. It’s pretty simple right? Just pour the batter onto a pan, let them cook, flip, and you ready to go eat.

Cooking pancakes isn’t exactly a science, but you couldn’t cook them any which way you want, either. For example, you aren’t supposed to bake pancakes. Why not? Because they just wouldn’t turn out right. Sticking them in the oven, you wouldn’t get the kind of pancakes you’re looking for.

What if you poured the batter into hot oil? Again, they wouldn’t be pancakes. They would probably come out like fried dough. How could these possible end up as ‘pan’ cakes. It just doesn’t make sense.

When you’re making pancakes, what kind of pan should be using to cook them on. A skillet or ordinary frying pan could work. Heck, you could even use a wok if you really wanted to, but it would be kind of hard.

The best thing to use is a griddle. It’s almost like they are designed to make pancakes. You can get a small one or a large one. You can use one for the stove or an electric one and keep it on your counter.

Using a griddle is ideal for pancakes because they make flipping the pancakes easy. Skillets have sites that can mess you up when you try to flip them. Get any kind of shape you want that will work well.

Electric griddles are great for those will less space or for those who do a lot of cooking. You could use a small electric griddle on the counter or sometimes you can get a circle griddle for the stove.
